WEST SACRAMENTO CA (IFS) -- It all started in Phoenix Arizona when this writer lost his glasses in Lake Pleasant. An appointment was made and the procedure was to get new glasses which included an eye exam and the waiting for three (3) days to get your glasses.
It was a show of Halloween when we arrived back at their store to find that they had not even started on the manufacturing of the lenses. They could have called us, which would have saved us a long journey to their store. However, they did not call. It took approximately seven (7) days for them to get the lenses ground and inserted into the frames.
Upon the receipt of the glasses, the prescription was obscured and did not work. The costs for this mistake was over $175.00 for nothing. With time limits, this writer had to return back to Sacramento. With the new appointment with the VA Optical Center, it was discovered that the optical cylinders and scoping of the lens were wrong and issued a new prescription for new lens and glasses.
This new prescription was taken to one of the corporate offices at 2922 Fulton Ave, Sacramento California for the correction and re-issue of the glasses. On or about October 25, 2017, Eye-Glass World at the location below, accepted the new prescription and told this writer that it would be ten (10) days and they would call to insert the new lens.
Eighteen days later, it was this writer that called the store and requested an appointment to complete the lens. However, instead of getting a date and time, this writer was informed that it was a problem with the Corporate office and that again they would call me back.
With multiple locations around the country, it is assumed that one could take this simple correction to another store and receive the same services and they would honor their guarantee and work.
This is not to be. Their service and promises are worth NOTHING! You get what you pay for. EyeGlass World is not a company of its word. They are slow and top heavy with personnel that can not fulfill your order.
